The Swiss Alps never disappoint when it comes to dramatic light. This particular evening, I hiked for three hours to reach this vantage point, waiting for the sun to dip just low enough to cast these incredible warm tones across the peaks.
The challenge was balancing the bright sky with the shadowed valleys below. A graduated neutral density filter helped maintain detail throughout the dynamic range.
