Autumn in the Ardennes offers a brief but spectacular window of color. The key to this shot was finding absolutely calm water - I arrived before sunrise and waited for the wind to die down completely.
The telephoto lens helped compress the layers of reflection and isolate the most colorful section of the treeline.
